What we do
We are uncertainty reducers in a rapidly changing technological world with its disruptions and opportunities. To this end, we provide companies and organizations with our skills in economic intelligence, geopolitics, and international economics to advise them in the field of semiconductors and high tech.
We started as economic journalists before training in geopolitics and international trade with a strong interest in Asia and China. We spent several trips to China to be “in total immersion” in the early 2010s.
Back in France to teach courses and trainings on the complex relationship between China and the United States. After this international experience, we chose to train in economic intelligence (EI) in order to be able to meet the information and analysis needs of companies, French and international organizations.

About Us
The founder - Estelle Prin
Estelle Prin is an international business consultant. She created the Semiconductor Observatory in 2022 after obtaining an MBA in Business Intelligence in Paris.
She worked for 15 years as a journalist and then went on to teach Geopolitics and International Economics. She has taught courses in French universities and business schools. Her main topics have been the geopolitics of semiconductors, the relationship between China and the United States, and China’s policy and presence in Africa.
She has master’s degrees in political science, geopolitics, journalism and economics, and an MBA in economic intelligence. She has studied in France, the United-States and China. She is fluent in English, French and Spanish and has a basic knowledge of Mandarin
